Oil paintings

I've gotten back in the swing of painting at least once a week. Here is the past few weeks of oil paintings, each was done in 3 hours. The nude pose is on 11x14 the other three are on 16x20.

Tonights oil painting, this took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, and I’m just working on the drawing and the value.

oil painting Fun

Todays oil painting, about 2 1/2 hours, its of Cassandra. I focused just on my three values and the drawing. Fun stuff.

oil painting Fun

Todays oil painting. Fun stuff. Just working on getting my three tones and the drawing down.

Oil painting Fun

Today's couple hour oil painting. My ipod kind of blew out the light tones.

Cute Octopus

A quick little watercolor doodle. Fun stuff.

Painting and such

Todays painting. About 2 1/2 hours, and I used water based oils. The color here isn't perfect (I just used my ipod), but it's close enough.

stuffs

So I've been on a batman kick lately. Here is a couple Bruce Timm doodles, along with tonights painting. It was the first time I've painted in at least 4 months, so it was a bit of a fight. Note that the color on here is a bit too blue compared to the original. And a page from last fridays figure drawing studio.

Finished Jack and the Beanstalk

I'm happy I finished this, but not 100% happy with how it turned out. It was a good learning experience, having only been using watercolors for a week now, and this being the 6th or 7th watercolor illustration I've ever done.

Water color!!!

Some of my first real attempts at using water color.

Painted down at the Chinese Gardens. This photo kind of sucks, I'll replace it eventually.

Down by the train station

Some random palm trees in china town

All of these are oil on canvas.

Location Painting wk02

Painted down at Couch park, I think. Took about 3 1/2 hours. Its a tree by the way, it looks better if you look at it from a distance...

Paintings Spring 2010

My paintings start to get less bad as the weeks go by.
