Mostly done! But I need a break from it. It's my layout trying to mimic the Princess and the Frog style. I'll upload the sketches leading up to this later.

So this is my own layout set to fit in the Princess and the Frog world. Here are the steps I go threw. Now I have some revisions and a final color painting to do.

Master Copy in Progress

Working on a copy of a Princess and the frog BG. Right now I'm just focused on the shapes and colors. I'm only in this a few hours. Once I got everything ruffly blocked in I started working my way from the top left corner to the rest of the BG.

Noted, the color picker was not used to get color from the original BG, it was all picked myself.

I was seeing how gouache looked on this paper, then I saw some cool shapes. So I had some fun with them.

Did some sketches at the annex after hanging down at school. The bottom one is based on yesterday's sketch, the others are just doodles.

Here's a ruff painting based on the below sketch. Still playing around in corel, I think this one is a bit messy in places. I'll have to go back and work on it some more later.

Arthairstory backgrounds

I was lead background and layout artist for the Art Institutes new 2d production "ArtHairstory." This is the establishing shot for the short. The ruffs were done by my friend Karlie and I, the final clean-up was done by Karlie, the tonal study and final colors were done by me. All the line work and ruffs were sketched out on paper, then painted in photoshop.

Well here is my first master copy in 6 months, I think it came out alright. There are quite a few minor differences, some of witch I'll fix in a few weeks.
