Corel Painter tests

I just got Corel Painter 11 the other day. so I've been playing around a little; this being the first time I've ever used the program. I like it so far, there are a few brushes like the oil pastels and artist oils that I like, but a lot of the brushes seem kind of gimmicky. Any-who, heres the a couple quick paintings. the bottom one is only using a pastel brush, and the top only uses one artist oil brush.

Color Studies

Some quick little tests for my illustration class. After one of these is picked I'll take it to a complete watercolor finish.

Arthairstory backgrounds

I was lead background and layout artist for the Art Institutes new 2d production "ArtHairstory." This is the establishing shot for the short. The ruffs were done by my friend Karlie and I, the final clean-up was done by Karlie, the tonal study and final colors were done by me. All the line work and ruffs were sketched out on paper, then painted in photoshop.

Children's book layouts

Two lighting studies for my children's Illustration class. I'll be taking the second one to a full finish soon.
